Renters in Dubai are likely to stay put while prices are so favourable compared to the capital, according to a new report
A report last week from Asteco Property Management predicted that rents in Abu Dhabi could slide by 15 per cent by the end of the year
Writing in the National, property analyst Jeff Topping said that commuting renters based in Dubai are unlikely to be lured to the UAE capital in the immediate future
However, Mr Topping believes that the rent decline and the availability of more homes will see renters in Dubai return over the next two years to Abu Dhabi
This could be good news for property investors looking for long term investments in the region
Abu Dhabi could be ideal if you are looking to get cheap properties that will continue to be in demand
The emirate's diversification strategy could see it become as attractive as Dubai currently is to renters
One expat property consultant said that currently Dubai remained the most popular because "they prefer to reside in Dubai because of more international schools, the nightlife and choice of eateries"
