Qatar could become the next tourist hotspot of the UAE, according to one industry expert
The region has recently seen a huge population boom since 2004, because of the influx of Western expats
In an interview with Gulf Times, Bob Kharazmi, global officer for the giant Ritz-Carlton, said that the increasing activity of the hotel sector in the country is good news
He said: "This is a very vibrant market with the new international airport and the incredible reach of Qatar Airways around the world
"I think that the upcoming hotels will be absorbed by the increase in demand"
According to the site, the hotel plans to target the Gulf and the Middle East
It is aiming to open a second building in Dubai, a new one in Abu Dhabi and three in Oman
There are already three hotels located in Doha
Property investors could gain from the news which will see more tourists come to the region, with some potentially interested in moving there
